It's back! The creepiest contest to sweep the Westminster campus - Titan Terror Project 4! As of today, Audio Visual Services, Titan Radio, and WCN are officially accepting entries. We invite you to scare us in 3 minutes or less and win!
The Titan Terror Project is a short film contest and showcase, requiring a thrilling or mysterious mini-movie without the use of graphic violence and gore, challenging film makers to use a variety of film making tactics to create suspense that engages their audience. Last year, over 100 students and faculty packed into Mueller Theater while many more joined the live webcast to view the top 10 entries of the contest and see who would walk away with over $500 in prizes. The showcase was part of Westminster's annual AV Week celebration.
The contest entry is FREE and encouraged for filmmakers of all experience levels. Titan Terror 4 is open to members of Lawrence and Mercer Counties, any middle and high school student in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and of course all Westminster faculty, staff and students. Applicants may use cell phones or any digital camera for their production. The "undeadline" is midnight Friday, September 28th. The online, electronic entry form can be found here.
This year's showcase will be held Tuesday, October 15th at 12:45 pm in Mueller Theater. The top 10 entries will be announced, and the first, second, third, and audience choice "Westmonster" awards will be revealed. Live streaming of the ceremony will be available to those who cannot attend or arrive too late to get a seat. Pizza will be provided by Sodexo, and this year promises even more food, fun and terrific prizes. Keep an eye out for additional opportunities to win TTP prizes until then!
NEW THIS YEAR! Besides opening up the contest to any middle or high school student in Pennsylvania and Ohio, beginning Oct. 15, the top 10 entries will be available on the AV Facebook page for fans to vote for their favorite. The entry with the most "likes" wins a special prize package awarded on Oct. 31 (Halloween).
