Sullivan, Moorhead Tabbed to Lead GREEN AV Effort

Monday, February 18, 2013

The Westminster College Audio Visual Services Green AV group, dedicated to taking a proactive and educational approach on reducing electronic waste, is proud to announce its newest leaders. Junior Environmental Science major Erin Sullivan and Sophomore Public Relations major Emily Moorhead, along with the other volunteers in the AV department, will continue the initiatives of Green AV at Westminster.

Sullivan, from Aurora, Ohio, has volunteered with the group since her hiring in 2011. She has contributed to the group in helping to create the Online Recycling Database, presenting at the Symposium on the Environment, organizing the department's e-recycling drives and representing Green AV on Westminster's Sustainability committee.

Moorhead, from Butler, PA, joined both AV and Green AV in September of 2012. As Assistant PR Manager in the department, she is responsible for promoting the many environmental efforts of the department to the campus and community.

Green AV is a volunteer group comprised of AV Services student workers that formed in 2008. The group dedicates their time to promoting environmentally efficient ways to reduce electronic waste and make it easier for the campus to do the same. Their next scheduled event is their bi-annual E-recycling Drive, to be held April 20th from 9 am to Noon at the Hoyt Loading Dock.
