It's back! The creepiest contest to sweep the Westminster campus! Where else would you be rewarded for producing spine-chilling, hair-raising moments? Audio Visual Services, Titan Radio, and WCN invite you to showcase these talents in three minutes or less in Titan Terror Project III.
The Titan Terror Project is a short film contest and showcase, requiring a thrilling or mysterious mini-movie without the use of graphic violence and gore, challenging film makers to use a variety of film making tactics to create suspense that engages their audience. Last year, over 130 students and faculty packed into Mueller Theater to view the top 10 entries of the contest and see who would walk away with over $500 in prizes. The showcase was part of Westminster's annual AV Week celebration. Both events return again this year.
The contest entry is FREE and encouraged for filmmakers of all experience levels. Titan Terror 3 is open to all members of Lawrence and Mercer County. Applicants may use cell phones, Flip video cameras, or any digital camera for their production. Entries are due by Friday, September 28th. The online, electronic entry form can be found here.
This year's showcase will be held Thursday, October 18th at 12:45 pm in Mueller Theater. The top 10 entries along with the first, second, third, and audience choice "Westmonster" awards will be revealed. Live streaming of the ceremony will be available to those who cannot attend or arrive too late to get a seat. Pizza will be provided by Sodexo, and this year promises even more food, fun and terrific prizes. Keep an eye out for additional opportunities to win TTP prizes until then! Also, preview, promote and share our TTP III promo trailer here.
