I am a medical sociologist with expertise in mental health and the social institution of the family. I am currently in my fourth year as a faculty member at Westminster College in the Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies Program. Some of the courses that I teach on a regular basis include:
On campus I serve as the faculty advisor to SCION, the Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies Interest group. This group is student led and is looking forward to designing and hosting our second annual Haunted Bio Trail this year.
My current research agenda includes investigating the perceptions of incarcerated students on their experiences taking college courses, as well as investigating the experiences of work-family spillover among registered nurses.
