NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College students won numerous awards in December at the Student Symposium on the Environment. The event was hosted by Westminster Environmental Programs and co-sponsored by the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition. Awards were sponsored by Stream Restoration, Inc.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College's Department of Communication Studies, Theatre and Art will host an art gallery opening and reception for Wisconsin-based artist Edwin Jager from 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Foster Art Gallery in Patterson Hall. A reception will include a gallery talk by the artist at 5:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College senior sociology/criminal justice major Tricia Johnston recently received the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Employers (PennACE) JoAnne Day Student of the Year Liberal Arts Award.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College senior accounting majors served on an Accounting Career Day panel in November to educate 180 area high school students on opportunities available in the accounting field. In addition to the panel, the program also featured guest speakers working in the accounting field. The event was a collaboration between the Westminster Department of Economics and Business and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

Registration forms are available by calling Psychology Department Secretary Darlene McCoy at 724-946-7356, or on the website.
To register, your forms must be completed and received by U.S. mail between February 3-7, 2014. All children ages 3-4 are eligible to attend, and enrollment will be determined by a random drawing.
The pre-school is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK
Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding
(Original recipe makes 8 servings)
2 cups milk
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 cups cubed French bread
2 bananas, sliced
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in bread, bananas, and chocolate chips, and let rest 5 minutes for bread to soak. Pour into prepared pan.
3. Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel. Place loaf pan on towel inside roasting pan, and place roasting pan on oven rack. Fill roasting pan with water to reach halfway up the sides of the loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
