Westminster College Celebrity Series to Present Straight No Chaser Oct. 29

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Celebrity Series will present a sold out performance by Straight No Chaser Monday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Originally formed over a dozen years ago while students together at Indiana University, the 10-man cappella group has reassembled and reemerged with a massive fan base. They have had over 35 million views on YouTube, and were featured on the "Generation YouTube" episode of 20/20 and on PBS.

Straight No Chaser performs modern pop classics and old favorites, including Weezer's "Buddy Holly;" Madonna's "Like A Prayer;" Temptations' "Get Ready;" and pairings of Plain White T's "Rhythm of Love" with Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love," and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" with Bell Biv Devoe's "Poison."

The show is sponsored by First National Bank.

Upcoming Celebrity Series performances include A Christmas Carol, A Chorus Line, Yesterday Once More: A Musical Tribute to the Carpenters, and The Velveteen Rabbit.
