Swimming: Westminster 2008-09 Season Review

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - There's no denying that the Westminster College swimming program is thriving. During the 2008-09 season alone, the Titan men and women set a combined 22 school records, including nine conference records, and won 17 events at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships. The Westminster women sent a relay team to the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in team history as the Titans finished tied for 20th place in the final team standings. The Titans took home All-America honorable mentions in four events at the national meet, including freshman Caitlin Lehberger (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) placing as high as ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke. more |
