Monday, March 29, 2010
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The presence of the Westminster College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were indeed felt on a national level in 2009-10. Three Titans qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships including two bringing home a total of four Top 8 All-America finishes. Having swimmers at the national meet is nothing new for Westminster. The Titan women placed 21st at national after a 20th-place finish in 2009. However, the women's team enjoyed unprecedented success with sophomore Caitlin Lehberger (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) becoming in the team's first-ever NCAA All-American and the team's first overall All-American since 1994 when Westminster was an NAIA school. more |
