PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Westminster women's soccer team won its fourth-straight match on Tuesday with a 2-1 win at La Roche.
The Titans (6-2) got on the scoreboard first after first-year Liss Grimaldi (Warren, OH / Ursuline) made the most of her only shot of game. Grimaldi scored her first collegiate goal after collecting a rebound and putting the ball in the back of the net. Westminster junior Raechel Pusateri (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) earned the assist.
Pusateri added to Westminster's lead for the eventual game-winner when she scored in the 41st minute after she cut through the middle of the box and placed the ball in the left side of the goal. This marked Pusateri team-leading third goal of the season.
Titan first-year goalie Laura Page (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) improved to 3-1, while collecting a career-high six saves in a complete-match effort.
La Roche (2-1-2) scored its lone goal in the 61st minute when Vanessa Ceravolo chipped over the Titan defense to the left post. Alysa Nakles earned the assist.
Westminster out-shot La Roche, 22-11, including a 13-6 edge in shots-on-goal.
The Titans will travel to Pitt-Greensburg on Thursday with a game time of 4 p.m.
