The 2012-2013 PAC All-Sports Trophies Announced

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The 2012-13 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophies were announced on Thursday. The Titan women's teams placed second with 63.5 points (only four points behind first-place), while the Titan men's programs placed seventh with 41.5 points. The all-sports trophies are annually awarded to the schools which perform the best across the board in league competition. First-place finishes are worth 10 points (nine for men), second place is worth nine points (eight for men) ... last place is worth one point. more |

Westminster Celebrates 2012-13 Athletic Accomplishments at WESPY Awards NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Department of Athletics and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the 10th Annual WESPY Awards (Westminster Exceptional Sports Performances of the Year) Tuesday night at Orr Auditorium. The WESPYs honored team MVPs for all 18 varsity sports teams, as well as several annual awards and recognition of top athletic achievements throughout the 2012-13 academic year. |
Women's Golf: Titans Place Third at PAC Invite BELLE VERNON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team finished third out of four schools at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Golf Invitational. The invitational was held Monday and Tuesday at the Cedarcliff Golf Club. Westminster shot a nine-stroke improvement in day two from day one and finished with a 791 (400-391). The Titans shot a 739 at the 2012 PAC Fall Championships, combined with the Spring Championship score for a total of 1,530 for the overall championship. |
Women's Golf: Titans Compete at Grove City Invitational GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team participated in the Grove City College Invitational on Saturday at the Grove City Country Club. The event was shortened to nine holes due to inclement weather. No true team standings or individual awards were given out due to shortened competition. |
Women's Golf: Titans Take Fifth as Host of the Eckles Invitational NEW CASTLE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team held its only home meet of the season Monday by placing fifth out of eight teams as hosts of the Mary Cleland Eckles Invitational at the New Castle Country Club. The Titans posted a team score of 411. |
Women's Golf: Pierce Paces Titans to Second-Place Finish at Thiel Invite GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team finished second with a score of 415 at the five-team 2013 Thiel College Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 6. Sophomore Morgan Pierce (Fredonia, PA / Reynolds) led the Titans with a score of 102, tying for fifth-place overall. |
