Women's Basketball: Westminster 2009-10 Season Review

Thursday, March 18, 2010
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - By further establishing itself as a perennial contender for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship, the Westminster College women's basketball team finished strong in 2009-10. Westminster was an unlikely threat with a 7-13 record through 20 games, but the Titans won six out of seven games including two in the PAC tournament as they finished as the league runner-up for the third time in the last four years.

The Titans, who entered the tournament as a No. 4 seed with an 8-6 PAC record, finished with a 13-15 record that included a 64-61 upset of Washington & Jefferson, the second seed and the No. 17th-ranked team in the nation, in the PAC semifinals. In the finals, the Titans lost 77-67 to No. 16 Thomas More, the winner of the last four PAC titles.
