Titans Knock Off Presidents 62-55 to Win Third Straight
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Down by one at halftime, the Westminster College women's basketball team came out of the locker room with a sense of urgency as they produced a 16-4 run in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Titans stayed ahead the remainder of the game en route to a 62-55 win over Washington & Jefferson. With their third straight win, the Titans improved to 7-12 overall and 7-6 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Presidents fell to 10-10 overall and 5-8 in conference play. more |

Zitt and Dolsak lead Titans over Tomcats 61-55 Greenville, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team has won two games in a row, after beating the Thiel Tomcats 61-55 on Saturday. The Titans improved to 6-12 overall, and have saved their best basketball for conference play as they are 6-6 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Tomcats fell to 5-14 overall and 5-7 in the PAC. |
Cantella's Jumper at Buzzer Stings Yellow Jackets 68-66 NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team came out of the gates shooting 53.8% from the floor and 67% from beyond the arc in the first half. Junior Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) finished off the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets as time expired in regulation with a jumper to win it 68-66. The Titans improved to 5-12 overall, with all of their wins coming in conference play (5-6 PAC). The Yellow Jackets fell to 13-5 overall and 8-3 in the President's Athletic Conference (PAC). |

Women's Basketball Comes Out Firing in Second Half to Defeat Geneva 55-43 NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team came out of halftime shooting 20% better than it did in the first half resulting in a 55-43 victory over Geneva College. The Titans improved to 4-11 overall and 4-5 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. The Golden Tornadoes dropped to 3-13 overall and 2-7 in the conference. Junior Katie Hughes (Boardman, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) led Westminster with 14 points. Senior Emily Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) tied a season-high with a game-high 11 rebounds. |
