Jayme Thiem

Head Coach

Jayme Thiem enters her first year as the head coach of the Westminster women's tennis team in 2014.

“I look forward to this opportunity to take over the women’s tennis program,” Thiem said. “Taking over after Scooter’s success that he has had over the years, including winning consecutive conference titles, is going to be tough to fill, but I am up for the challenge.”

A native of Cold Spring, Ky., Thiem is also the assistant women's basketball coach for the Titans.

Thiem spent two years as an assistant women's basketball coach at her alma mater, Thomas More College. As a coach, Thiem helped guide Thomas More to a 56-5 record in two seasons, including two NCAA tournament appearances. She was responsible for recruiting and guard development.

During Thiem’s two years as a player at Thomas More, the Saints compiled a 57-3 record and made two NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament appearances. A team captain in 2009, Thiem earned NCAA Division III All-America honors in 2008 and 2009 and she was the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Year in 2008. Prior to attending Thomas More, Thiem lettered two years at Division I Eastern Kentucky after graduating from Newport Central Catholic High School in 2005.
