NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College football team nearly pulled out the upset against Waynesburg University in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action at home on Saturday. The Titans had a chance to win the game as they were only five points behind late in the fourth quarter. Westminster had the ball at the Yellow Jackets' three-yard line on an untimed down after a penalty on Waynesburg, however the desperation Titan pass sailed high into the back of the end zone. Waynesburg held on for a 26-21 win.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Freshman quarterback Paul Columbo (Boca Raton, FL / West Boca Raton Community) threw four touchdowns, while guiding the Westminster College football team to a 40-28 win over the visiting Tomcats of Thiel College on Saturday in the Titans' Homecoming game.

Westminster (0-5, 0-3 PAC) will host Thiel (2-3, 1-2 PAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. for its annual Homecoming game. The Titans lead the all-time series with Thiel 45-21-7, which dates back to 1894. The home team has won six of the last eight meetings. Westminster lost, 45-37, in quadruple overtime at Thiel last year.
