Women's Soccer: Titans Selected Seventh in 2013 PAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team was selected to finish seventh in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), according to the 2013 PAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Titans totaled 46 points from the PAC's 10 head coaches.

Titans sophomore forward Krista Edwards (Summerville, PA/Springdale) and senior defender Jordan Steele (Falconer, N.Y./Falconer Central) were selected as Players to Watch.

Thomas More, winners of the last two PAC Championship Tournament titles, was selected as the favorite to win. The Saints captured six of the possible 10 first-place votes, while totaling 94 points. Grove City College, runners-up in the conference championship tournament a year ago, collected four first-place votes and 93 points to finish second on the poll. W&J was picked third after receiving 79 points, with Waynesburg University picked fourth after totaling 68 points.

Geneva College was selected fifth with 56 points, followed by Saint Vincent College in sixth (49), Westminster, Bethany College eighth (29), Thiel College ninth (26) and Chatham University 10th (10).

The Titans open their season on August 31 in Defiance, Ohio, where they will play Marietta and Defiance in a two-day tournament.
