GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team placed second at the Grove City College McBridge-Behringer-Allen Invitational in its season finale on Monday. The Titans' final team score was 340.
Grove City won the event with a 310, while Slippery Rock finished last with a 346.
Sophomore Ross Montanti (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) paced Westminster with a seventh-place tie score of 81 (42-39). Titan junior Trevor Crogan (Canfield, OH / Canfield) also cracked the top-10 with a ninth-place tie with a score of 82 (40-42).
Also competing for Westminster were junior David Paladino (Jefferson Hills, PA / Thomas Jefferson) (14-tie, 85 (39-46)), junior Chris Molnar (Easton, PA / Easton) (14-tie, 85 (43-42)), junior Ryan Avril (Jamestown, PA / Jamestown) (22-tie, 89 (43-46)), sophomore Dom Cirula (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland) (25-tie, 92 (45-47)), and sophomore Mark Williams (Seven Fields, PA / Quigley Catholic) (25-tie, 92 (50-42)).
