GREENVILLE, Pa. - Senior Katie Hughes (Boardman, OH / Cardinal Mooney), a member of the Westminster College women's basketball team, was recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) as the Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 4.
Hughes guided Westminster to a pair of PAC wins last week, helping the Titans snap out of a two-game losing streak. The senior forward averaged 23.5 points to go along with 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game during the two-game span. She tallied a game-high 23 points and corralled four rebounds in the Titan's 59-45 road win at Bethany on January 30 before totaling 24 points and seven rebounds in Saturday's 70-52 home victory over Chatham.
The Titans are back in action Wednesday when they host the nationally ranked Thomas More Saints at 6 p.m.
