High Fives: Nov. 12-Nov. 19

High Fives are the Top-5 performances by Westminster athletes during the previous week as selected by the Titan Sports Blogger.

#5 Senior Doug Smith (Men's Basketball)

The Senior captain helped lead the Titans to a 2-0 record after the Buzz Ridl Classic was completed this past weekend.  Smith averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the Titan victories.  

#4 Junior Courtney Zitt (Women's Basketball)

Zitt helped lead the lady Titans to a 1-2 record over the past week including a 53-39 drubbing of Medaille College.  The Junior had 19 points in the game to go along with 13 rebounds.  Over the course of the week Zitt averaged a team best 9.0 ppg along with 6.3 rebounds per game.

#3 Freshman Kelsey Reott (Swimming and Diving)

Against Wooster, Reott won the 100 yard backstroke at 1:01.91, the 200 yard backstroke at 2:13.18, and in the 200 yard IM at 2:16.15. Reott was also part of the 400 yard medley relay team that finished first with a time of 4:11.90. At Washington & Jefferson, Reott was part of the 400 freestyle relay team that won to clinch the team victory with a time of 3:43.90.

#2 Junior Anthony Thomas (Men's Basketball)

Thomas averaged a team-high 19 points, while shooting a team-best 56% (15-27) from the floor, guiding Westminster to a 2-0 start of the 2012-13 season. Thomas also dished out a team-high 3.5 assists. For his efforts, Thomas was selected on the Buzz Ridl All-Classic team.

#1 Freshman Matt Baurle (Swimming and Diving)

Baurle highlighted Saturday's win over Wooster as he set a pool-record in the 100 breaststroke (58.42). He also won the 200 yard breaststroke (2:10.35) and was part of the winning 400 yard medley relay team (3:33.57). Against Washington & Jefferson, Baurle placed first in both the 100 yard breaststroke (58.76) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:18.28) and was part of the 200 yard medley relay team that won with a W&J pool-record time of 1:38.25.
