Volleyball: Incerpi, Romocean Highlights Titans Listed on All-PAC Teams

GREENVILLE, Pa. - Four members of the Westminster College volleyball team earned spots on the Presidents' Athletic Conference's 2012 All-PAC Volleyball teams and an additional Titan earned an honorable mention.

Senior defensive specialist Tara Incerpi (Carrollton, Ohio/Minerva) and junior outside hitter Megan Romocean (Ravenna, Ohio/Southeast) earned first-team all-PAC honors, while junior middle blockers Lexi Starheim (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) and Rebecca Riemer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) were voted to the second-team. Junior setter Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) earned honorable mention.

Incerpi, a fourth-year starter who earned second-team last year and honorable mention as sophomore, ranked second in the PAC with 5.69 digs per set and led the conference with 654 total digs. Incerpi finished her collegiate career ranked second in school history with 2,161 digs and tied third in service aces with 173.

Romocean, a second-year starter who was tabbed on the second-team a year ago, ranked sixth in the league averaging 2.78 kills per set and was fifth in service aces per set with 0.44. Romocean was also fifth in the PAC with 3.36 points per set. For Westminster, Romocean ranked first on the team in kills (325) and aces (51).

Starheim, a three-year starter, was tied fourth inthe PAC with .98 blocks per set. Starheim's 118 total blocks ranked second in the league, while her hitting percentage of .267 stood eighth-best.  

Riemer, a second-year starter, ranked third in the conference with a .313 hitting percentage. Riemer was also second on the team with 253 kills and third with 88 blocks.

Palkovic, a one-year starter, was third in the PAC averaging 10.36 assists per set. Her 1,129 total assists stood second-best in the conference. 

Westminster posted a 22-11 record in 2012 and a fifth-place record of 11-7 in PAC matches. The Titans' 22 wins marked their 14th season with 20-plus wins under head coach Tammy Swearingen.
