Women's Golf: Titans Place Third at PAC Fall Invitational

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team finished third out of five schools at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Women's Golf Invitational. The invitational was held Monday and Tuesday at the Oak Tree Country Club. Westminster finished with a 739 (359-380).

The Titans were led by three top-10 finishers. Sophomore Morgan Pierce (Fredonia, PA/Reynolds) led the Titans with a fifth-place finish with a score of 177 (88-89). Junior Jenna Huston (Beaver Falls, PA/Blackhawk), 183 (88-95), and freshman Carly Boughner (Cooperstown, PA/Cooperstown), 185 (95-90), finished with an eighth- and ninth-place, respectively. Sophomore Jordan McGree (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) placed 14th with a 194 (88-106), while freshman Kailiee Dekcer (Grove City, PA/Grove City) finished with a tie in 20th with a 211 (105-106).

Washington & Jefferson won with a 717 (358-359). Grove City finished in second with a 732 (368-364). Finishing after Westminster was Thiel, 815 (412-403), and Thomas More, 898 (469-429).

The 36-hole PAC Fall Golf Invitational counts for half of the 72-hole team total (combined with the 2013 PAC Golf Championship this coming April) which will determine the 2012-13 PAC golf team champions. Individual All-PAC teams are determined exclusively by scores at the spring 36-hole PAC Championship.

Westminster will travel to Grove City College next Saturday, October 6.
