Golf: Titans Compete in Day 1 of PAC Fall Invitational

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - The Westminster College women's and men's golf teams competed in day one of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Golf Invitational on Monday. The women's team is currently third out of five teams with a 380, while the men's team is currently in fifth-place out of seven teams with a 321. The invitational is being played at the Oak Tree Country Club.

Saint Vincent leads the men's with a team score of 301, while Washington & Jefferson are leading the women's with a 359.

Leading the Titan men are sophomores Dom Ciraula (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland) and Ross Montanti (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) who are tied for 11th-place with a 78 (40-38). Sophomore Morgan Pierce (Fredonia, PA/Reynolds) leads the Titan women's team with a fifth-place tie and a score of 89 (44-45). Freshman Carly Boughner (Cooperstown, PA/Cooperstown) is close behind and stands in seventh-place with a 90 (46-44).

Both the men and women will tee off Tuesday morning at 8:24 a.m. with the men going off of number one and the women off of number 10.

The 36-hole PAC Fall Golf Invitational counts for half of the 72-hole team total (combined with the 2013 PAC Golf Championship this coming April) which will determine the 2012-13 PAC golf team champions. Individual All-PAC teams are determined exclusively by scores at the spring 36-hole PAC Championship.
