ERIE, Pa. - The Westminster men's soccer team was held scoreless on Saturday as it lost 3-0 to the host Penn. St. Behrend. The Titans dropped to 4-2 overall, while the Lions improved to 5-1.
The Lions scored two goals in the first half and one in the second.
Westminster freshman Matt Kiernan (Pittsburgh, PA / Upper St. Clair) had a team-high two shots on goal. Also recording a shot on goal were freshmen Austin Ewers (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington Area) and Stephen McDaniel (Jamestown, NC / Southwest Guilford).
For the game, the Lions outshot the Titans 10-9.
Westminster senior goalie Adam Kephart (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver County Christian) accumulated three saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Titans are back on the field Tuesday as they travel to La Roche at 4 p.m.
