Volleyball: Incerpi, Palkovic, and Romocean Set Career-Highs During Final Day of Invitational

BEREA, OHIO - The Westminster College volleyball team won a pair of matches on the final day of the eight-team 14th Annual Marcia French Memorial Invitational on Saturday. The tournament was co-hosted by Case Western Reserve University with matches being played at Baldwin-Wallace.

Both of Westminster's victories came down to the fifth and final set. The Titans topped Baldwin-Wallace 3-2 (25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 14-25, 15-7) in match one and won 3-2 (17-25, 21-25, 25-10, 25-20, 15-10) in comeback fashion versus Franklin & Marshall.

Westminster junior Megan Romocean (Ravenna, OH / Southeast) was named to the Tournament All-Invitational Team. Romocean set a career mark with 25 kills in game one and led the team with 18 kills in game two.

Junior Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) had career-bests 62 assists against Balwdin-Wallace and 26 digs against Franklin & Marshall. Palkovic also earned 56 assists versus F&M. 

Senior Tara Incerpi (Carrollton, OH / Minerva) had a career-high 41 digs in game one and led the defense in game two with 24 digs.

The Titans are back on the courts next Saturday as they host Grove City at 11 a.m.
