Men's Soccer: Late Goal Halts Titans' Win Streak

ALTOONA, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2012 season Friday night as the host Penn-State Altoona won 1-0. The Lions intercepted a pass from the Titans' goalie at the 68:35 mark for the lone score of the game.

The Titans dropped to 3-1 overall, while the Lions picked up their first win of the year and are now 1-2.

Freshman Marcus Gurgiolo (Edinburg, PA / Mohawk Area) led Westminster with four shots on goal. As a team, the Titans outshot Penn-State 12-9 (8-4 in the second half).

Titan senior goalie Adam Kephart (Beaver Falls, PA / Beaver County Christian) grabbed in five saves in 90 minutes of work.

Westminster will host Franciscan on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
