Baseball: Wiand Earns Honorable Mention National Player of the Week

DALLAS, Texas - Westminster senior Tim Wiand (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts) earned National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division III honorable-mention accolades Thursday for the organization's Player of the Week Award.

Wiand led Westminster by batting .625 (10-16) last week, while the Titans went 3-1. Wiand had five doubles and two home runs. Along with seven runs scored, Wiand drove in a team-high 11 RBI.

This week, Wiand also garnered the Presidents' Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week and earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week.
