Baseball: Westminster SAAC Honors Wiand as Titan Athlete of the Week

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected senior baseball player Tim Wiand (Pottstown, PA / Owen J. Roberts) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of April 2-8.

Wiand led Westminster by batting .625 (10-16) last week, while the Titans went 3-1. Wiand had five doubles and two home runs. Along with seven runs scored, Wiand drove in team-high 11 RBI.

Wiand was also named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week and he was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.

Westminster will face PAC rival Thomas More three times this weekend, starting with a doubleheader at home on Saturday at 1:00pm.
