NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected junior women's tennis player Alex Bailey (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of March 5-11.
Bailey was crowned the PAC champion at No. 2 singles in the fall and also won her three respective matches in Hilton Head, South Carolina this past week. The junior finished the season at a perfect 21-0 in the number two singles spot.
Bailey and her doubles partner, sophomore Caitlin Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central), finished the season with an impressive 20-1 mark in No. 1 doubles.
Westminster is eligible for an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Championships in the spring.
