MEN'S BASKETBALL (5-17, 4-10 PAC)

The Westminster College Titans lost their only game last week versus Presidents' Athletic Conference foe, Thomas More. Missed opportunities in the second half out shadowed its highest shooting performance of the year as they lost 75-71. Anthony Thomas (New Castle, PA / Union) led Westminster with 17 points, while shooting 8-for-12 from the floor. Ron Martino (Youngstown, OH / Cardinal Mooney) followed with 14 points (6-for-11) to go along with a team-high three steals. Also scoring in double digits were junior Adam Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and senior Max Spinner (Boca Raton, FL / Boca Raton) who earned 13 and 11 points, respectively.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (8-14, 8-8 PAC)

The Westminster College women's basketball team was bested by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) leaders, Thomas More Saints, 79-42. The Saints started out the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back. Eight different Titans scored in the contest led by senior Emily Montone (Sharpsville, PA / Sharpsville) with 10 points, while shooting three of five (60%) from the floor. Everyone recorded a rebound for the Titans. On senior day, the Lady Titans beat Chatham 56-40 to even out their weekly record at 1-1. Sophomore Courtney Zitt (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe) led the Titans with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a game- and career-high four blocks.

MEN'S (7-4, 3-1 PAC) and WOMEN'S (7-5, 3-2 PAC) SWIMMING & DIVING

Westminster is vying for its first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship since 2007. The Titan men are returning all six first-team All-PAC swimmers from last year including three who posted a total of four PAC first-place finishes. The Titan women return three of four first-team All-PAC swimmers from last year including a six-time All-American, three-quarters of a champion relay team, and two swimmers with a combined four first-place individual finishes.

Men's and Women's: 02/10/2012 12:00 PM at Blue-Gold Invitational (at WVU) No Team Scoring

For the women's team, senior Alisha Slater (Wooster, OH / Norwayne) earned the only win in the long jump with a 5.09' mark. Slater also placed third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.38. Senior Mallory Mack (Carnegie, PA / Chartiers Valley) finished second in the 60-meter dash (8.16). Mack also placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.17.

On the men's side, sophomore Aaron Sutton (Warren, OH / Howland) won the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:42.50. Freshman Christian Friday (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park) won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.53. Junior Mark Saylor (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) won the pole vault with a 4.60' mark. In the shot put sophomore Jason Frawley (Franklin, PA / Franklin) placed third with a 12.81' mark.
