MEN'S BASKETBALL (4-15, 3-8 PAC)

Westminster split a pair of PAC games last week. Wednesday, the Titans orchestrated three 10-0 runs in the first half that led to an eventual 72-55 win over Waynesburg. Westminster shot 54.5% (18-of-33), including 6-for-11 from behind the three-point arc, in the first half and maintained a double-digit lead in the second half. The Yellow Jackets scored in double digits (32-10) with 8:18 left before intermission. Junior Doug Smith (South Park, PA / South Park) led all scorers with 20 points (6-of-10), including a game-high six three-pointers. Saturday, Westminster could not overcome Thiel's shooting performance as the Titans lost 98-61. The Tomcats shot 61% (42-for-69), while the Titans shot 36% (20-for-55). Smith once again led the Titans with 15 points with 5-for-9 shooting from the floor, including a game-high three three-pointers.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (6-12, 6-6 PAC)

On Wednesday versus Waynesburg, the Lady Titans came out of the gates shooting 53.8% from the floor and 67% from beyond the arc in the first half. Junior Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA / Freedom) finished off the Yellow Jackets as time expired in regulation with a jumper to win it 68-66. Classmate Danielle Gilmore (Washington, PA / Trinity) scored a career-high 13, including 7-of-10 from the free throw line. In the win on Saturday at Thiel, the Titans shot an impressive 87% (20-for-23) from the free throw line as sophomore Courtney Zitt (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe) led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds.

PAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week: Courtney Zitt (Latrobe, PA / Greater Latrobe) led the Titans to a 2-0 week against PAC competition by averaging 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She posted a solid all-around line with 12 points, eight boards, two assists, one block and one steal Wednesday, as Westminster posted a 68-66 upset win at home over third place Waynesburg. On Saturday, Zitt scored a game-high 18 points and added nine boards, as the Titans recorded a come-from-behind 61-55 road decision at Thiel.

Women's: 01/28/12 - at Saint Vincent, W, 154-108

Current W/L Streak: Men's W/1, Women's W/1

Seven pool records paced the Westminster College men's and women's swimming teams on Saturday as they defeated Saint Vincent 157-103 and 154-108, respectively. The Titans garnered 19 first-place finishes (8 for the men and 11 for women, including two exhibition wins).

PAC Women's Swimmer/Diver of the Week: Caitlin Lehberger (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) led Westminster on Saturday with three pool records as the Titans defeated Saint Vincent 154-108. She won the 100 (1:06.32) and 200(2:25.19) yard breaststrokes. She also led the winning 400 yard freestyle relay with the first leg of the race (100 yard freestyle/54.77).
