Here's hoping that the New Year will bring many blessings to all participants and supporters of Westminster athletics. We wish all Titans good health and success in the classroom and in the competitive arena for 2012.

In our yearning for new memories and accomplishments that lie ahead, we felt it would be good to end the year with a reminder of Titan greatness with perhaps the greatest moment in Westminster sports history.

Twenty-three Decembers have now passed since the Westminster football team won its fourth of six national championships. The only national championship trophy lifted right here on Westminster's campus was the 1988 title. And what a fantastic finish it was!

With great pleasure we share with you the work of senior broadcast communications major Marshall Cupelli, who spent the semester producing a 38-minute documentary about that magical 1988 season. Cupelli, who wasn't even born in 1988, compiled rare video footage and he takes you right into the huddle with interviews from former Titans Dave Foley and Brad Tokar. Cupelli's documentary illustrates the excitement of the season and thanks to him the story is further preserved in Titan lore.

His documentary may be called "1988: The Year of the Titan," but by watching it, no matter which Westminster sport you favor most, this will give you a sense of Westminster pride that will motivate you to make 2012 The Year of the Titan.

Enjoy!
