Cross Country: Westminster Finishes 2011 Season at NCAA Regional

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Westminster College men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2011 season by competing at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships hosted by DeSales College on Saturday. The Titan women's team placed 24th out of 47 teams with 650 points, while the Titan men's team placed 35th out of 47 teams with 971 points.

Freshman Jenny Jones (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) led the Titans in a race for the first time this season as she placed 69th in the 6 kilometers with a time of 24:49. Senior Jennifer Krueger (Adamsville, Pa./Conneaut Lake) closely followed to finished her career with a time of 25:54 for 72nd place.

The top finishers for the Titan men were sophomore Aaron Sutton (Warren, Ohio/Howland) running the 8 kilometers in a time of 28:15 for 118th place and senior Morgan Hanes (McKean, Pa./General McLane) completed his career as a Westminster harrier with a time of 29:14 for 178th place.
