NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - By equaling its win total from last year, the Westminster College volleyball team beat Saint Vincent, 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 10-25, 25-14), at home Tuesday to improve to 18-10 on the year and 10-6 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Titans have now won 18 or more matches in 21 of the last 24 seasons. Saint Vincent falls to 18-10 and 8-8 in the PAC.
Senior outside hitter Tara Ott (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) led the Titans with 10 kills to go with 12 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Rebecca Riemer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) and freshman middle blocker Kassie Freyermuth (Allison Park, Pa./North Allegheny) each posted eight kills and five blocks.
Senior setter Jessie Szakacs (Youngstown, Ohio/Liberty) paced the Titans with 27 assists to go with 13 digs and junior defensive specialist Tara Incerpi (Carrollton, Ohio/Minerva) totaled a team-high 16 digs.
Taylor Guido and Natalie Hozak led Saint Vincent with 18 and 14 kills, respectively.
Westminster hosts Waynesburg Thursday at 7 p.m. in the final regular season home match of the season.
