NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team lost to visiting Case Western Reserve, 6-1, Saturday in a nonconference match held at Harold Burry Stadium.

Freshman forward Anthony Humes (Darlington, England/Hummersknott School) scored the Titans' lone goal on an assist from senior forward Michael Dever (Salt Lake City, Utah/Highland). Humes' goal in the 68th minute cut Case's lead to 4-1.

Vinny Bell, Case's all-time goal scoring leader, and Patrick O'Day each scored a goal and assisted on two for the Spartans. Kyle Alsup scored the first goal in the third minute and Eric Erb scored the second in the 14th before Bell and Rene Silva gave the Spartans a 4-0 halftime lead.

O'Day and Ryan Meyer added a pair of second-half goals.

Case outshot the Titans 14-9. Three Case goalkeepers combined for four saves and two combined for seven saves for the Titans.

Westminster plays at Thiel Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
