Men's Golf: Titans Wrap Up Fall by Taking Second at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team wrapped up the fall semester portion of its schedule by placing second out of five teams at the Grove City College Fall Invitational held Wednesday at the Grove City Country Club.

The Titans shot a 318 and finished 17 strokes behind Notre Dame (Ohio) with a 301. Grove City (330) took third place, followed by La Roche (337) and Point Park (388).

Westminster junior Ryan Spear (Hubbard, Ohio/Ursuline) led the Titans with a fourth-place overall 76 (40-36), while sophomore David Mlinarich (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and freshman Andrew Edwards (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) tied for ninth place with a pair of 80s (40-40).

John Angelo of Notre Dame (Ohio) was the medalist with a 69 (33-36).

Westminster returns to action in the spring when it hosts the Westminster Spring Invitational on March 29 at the New Castle Country Club.
