NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected men's track & field senior Anthony Thomas (New Castle, PA / Union) as its Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of April 21.
Thomas set a new personal record placing second in the long jump reaching 6.96 meters at the Slippery Rock Open. Thomas was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed second with a time of 43.86.
Westminster will compete again on Friday-Saturday, April 25-26, as hosts of the 2014 PAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Last year, Westminster claimed its third-straight men's team title, totaling 122.50 pts.
