GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) named Westminster sophomore Troy Abbott (Seven Fields, PA / Seneca Valley) as the PAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 31.
Abbott guided the Titans to two PAC wins last week, including Westminster's conference opener. He went 2-0 at number one singles and at first doubles with junior Mike Matisi (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville). In Westminster's 5-4 win at Saint Vincent on March 24, Abbott won at first singles (6-1, 6-7, 6-2) and 8-3 at number one doubles. In their 9-0 win over Thiel on March 28, he won, 6-2, 6-1 at first singles and 8-0 at number one doubles.
Westminster will play Grove City today at 3:30 p.m.
