NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected track & field sophomore Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of March 17.

Kalsey earned her third-straight All-American honor at the 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships last week. The pole-vaulter cleared 3.95 meters to lock a second-place title at the Nebraska Devaney Sports Center. Kalsey's finish was the best at Nationals in Titan men's and women's track & field history and the highest finish ever by a female student-athlete representing the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).

Kalsey, who was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mideast Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year, ranked first among all D-III vaulters in the nation going into Nationals with a school-record mark of 4.00 meters.

The Westminster outdoor track & field teams will compete at Juniata on Saturday.
