Baseball: Richard Stockton Sweeps Titans in Florida

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - The Westminster College baseball team was swept by Richard Stockton on Monday in day two in Florida. The Titans lost game one, 12-1, and lost, 14-4, in game two.

Westminster was plagued by eight errors in both games combined.

Titan freshman Nate McMaster (Stow, OH / Stow-Munroe Falls) got the loss in his first career start in game one. McMaster went three innings and gave up nine runs (seven earned) off eight hits. Richard Stockton out-hit Westminster, 12-9.

In game two, Westminster freshman Danny Owoc (Penn. Township, PA / Penn-Trafford) got the nod for his first collegiate start. Owoc went 2.1 innings and gave up seven runs (only two earned) off five hits and walked five batters. Titan junior Duncan Watt (Pickering, ON / Dunbarton) earned a team-high three hits and had one run scored.

Westminster will continue its 10-game Florida Trip on Tuesday as it plays Martin Luther in a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 9 a.m.
