Women's Tennis: Titans Blank Penn. State Harrisburg

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team shutout Penn. State Harrisburg, 9-0, on Monday in day two of the Titans' Spring Trip. The Titans improved to 16-1, while the Lions dropped to 1-5.

Westminster earned shutouts in two doubles and in four singles.

In doubles, senior Heather Santa (Butler, PA / Butler) and junior Lauren Fling (Norton, OH / Norton) at no. 2 and newcomers Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) and Maria Pallone (New Kensington, PA / Valley) at no. 3 earned 8-0 wins. In singles, Westminster freshman Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) at no. 2, Santa at no. 4, Fling at no. 5, and freshman Christijana Vucenovic (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) at no. 6 all won in shutout fashion, 6-0, 6-0.  

Westminster will continue its Spring Trip as it plays Heidelberg on Thursday.
