Women's Track & Field: Kalsey Named National Athlete-of-the-Week Honorable Mention

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Following a school-record performance in the pole vault at the Midwest SPIRE Institute, Westminster College sophomore Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) was selected by the USTFCCCA on the Division III Women's Track and Field National Athlete-of-the-Week Honorable Mention list.

Kalsey placed second out of 26 competitors with a mark of 4.00 meters, breaking her own school record of 3.95 meters that she set at last year's Indoor Nationals. Her new mark is eighth-best on the all-time Division III performers list. Kalsey currently stands first in the nation, while Titan freshman Brooke Mancuso (Wexford, PA) ranks second with a mark of 3.85 meters.

A select number of Titans will compete at the Oberlin Invitational on Friday and others will participate in a meet at Mount Union on Saturday.
