Men's Basketball: Titans Fall on the Road at PAC Powerhouse Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's basketball team lost, 101-54, at Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday.

Saint Vincent (17-2, 10-0 PAC) took a 12-2 lead with 16:17 remaining in the first half and never looked back. The Bearcats had a commanding 55-22 lead at halftime.

For the game, the Bearcats out-shot the Titans 48.5% (33-68) to 32.2% (19-59) and dominated on the glass with a 56-28 rebound advantage.

Freshman Matt Getsy (Mars, PA / Mars) led Westminster (3-17, 2-10 PAC) with 19 points (7-14). Sophomore Charlie Wallander (Pittsburgh, PA / Baldwin) followed with eight points, while classmate Paul Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) added seven points. Getsy also led the Titans on the glass with six rebounds. Sophomore Mike Matisi (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) tied a career-high with a team-high three assists.

J.C. Howard led Saint Vincent with a game-high 24 points, while Bearcat Dillon Stith tallied a game-high 10 rebounds.

Westminster will host Bethany on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
