Swimming & Diving: Titans Receiving National Votes in Latest Polls

Wednesday, November 20, 2013

SOMERS, Wis. - The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams are both nationally ranked in the top-50 in the latest Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com rankings.

The men are ranked 42nd in the country with 301.3 points, while the women stand 38th with 316.4 points.

The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the preceding month and is the only objective ranking of college swimming for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA. This year's rankings utilize a new point system based on a 1,100 point scale.  The new scale uses NCAA time standards and a percentile ranking of all college times over the past four years.

The Titan women will host Chatham Saturday at 1 p.m., while the Titan men will next compete at the three-day Wooster Invitational starting on December 5. Both teams are undefeated for the season with a 5-0 record.
