NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected women's tennis senior Caitie Hosler (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Central) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 21.
Hosler earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Year honors guiding the Titans to their second-straight PAC championship on Saturday. No. 1-seeded Hosler was crowned champion at no. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Westminster earned the PAC's automatic qualifying bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, which will take place in Claremont, California on May 19-24. The Titans finished the regular season with a perfect 15-0 overall (9-0 in the PAC) record for the second time in three years.
The Titans will play three more matches during their Spring Break trip starting with Juniata on March 9.
