GREENVILLE, Pa. - Freshman defender Sammy Creese (Mount Airy, MD / Glenelg), a member of the Westminster College women's soccer team, was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 21.
Creese continues to serve as a mainstay on Westminster's defensive unit this season, helping the Titans post a pair of PAC shutouts last week. Westminster registered a 1-0 win at Thiel on Oct. 16 before earning a 1-0 victory over Geneva on Oct. 19. Creese scored the eventual game-winner off of an assist from senior Jordan Steele (Falconer, NY / Falconer Central) in the 53rd minute against Thiel.
Westminster will travel to PAC foe Waynesburg on Wednesday. The starting time is slated for 6 p.m.
