MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Westminster College senior defensive end Sean Christofferson (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) was named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware.
This honor was Christofferson's second of the week as he was also tabbed the Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Christofferson had a season-high nine tackles (seven solo) and two and a half sacks as part of three and a half tackles for loss in Westminster's 27-24 come-from-behind victory over Carnegie Mellon. Christofferson was credited with a key second down stop at the Titans' 49-yard line as Westminster was holding a three-point advantage over a driving Carnegie Mellon offense with just 1:30 remaining.
