Wednesday, September 4, 2013NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected volleyball senior Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 2.
Palkovic guided Westminster to a 4-0 record over the weekend at the Westminster "Volley Against Violence" Tournament in the Titans' season-opener. Palkovic dished-out a team-best 155 assists and was second on the team in digs (57) and service aces (5). She also added 14 kills and two blocks.
The Titans are back in action Friday when they compete in the two-day 15th Annual Marcia French Memorial Invitational in Cleveland, Ohio. Westminster starts the invitational against Medaille at 6 p.m.
