Wednesday, May 1, 2013NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected baseball senior Nick Grow (North East, PA / North East) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of April 29.
Grow set two Westminster baseball records this past week. Grow closed out the final 1.2 innings in a 11-9 win vs. Thiel to earn his sixth save of the season, setting a single-season record previously held by Ethan Yeager. In the following game against Geneva, Grow pitched the final inning in a 4-1 win to earn his 10th career save, which puts him as Westminster's all-time leader in saves.
Westminster will host Washington and Jefferson Friday at 4 p.m. for its Senior Day.
