Tuesday, April 23, 2013BELLE VERNON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team finished sixth out of seven schools at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Golf Invitational. The invitational was held Monday and Tuesday at the Cedarcliff Golf Club. Westminster shot a 331 on day one followed by a 337 on day two for a total of 668. The Titans shot a 646 at the 2012 PAC Fall Championships, combined with the Spring Championship score for a total of 1,314 for the overall championship.
Saint Vincent won the event with a score of 1,204. Washington & Jefferson (1,231) and Grove City (1,243) finished in second- and third-place, respectively. Thiel (1,245) and Thomas More (1,276) placed ahead of Westminster and Bethany (1,487) rounded out the competition.
Leading the Titans was sophomore Ross Montanti (Wexford, PA/Pine-Richland) 163 (84-79) who tied for 23rd-place overall. Junior Chris Molnar (Easton, PA/Easton) 166 (82-84) followed with a tie for 25th-place. Junior David Paladino (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) placed 28th with a 169 (82-87).
Westminster returns to the course at the Grove City Invitational on April 29.
