Women's Tennis: Titans Win 5-4 vs. Catholic in Non-Conference Showdown

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team concluded its Spring Break Trip on Thursday with a 5-4 win against Catholic University. The Titans improved to 16-1 on the year, while the Cardinals snapped a three-match winning streak and dropped to 8-2.

Earning singles wins for Westminster were senior Alex Bailey (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) at no. 1 (7-6 (9-7), 6-1), junior Caitlin Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central) at no. 2 (7-5, 6-2), and senior Beth Ekimoff (Webster, NY / Webster Schroeder) at no. 6 (6-1, 4-6, 10-6).

The duos of Bailey/Hosler and Larson/Ekimoff won 8-1 at no. 1 and no. 3 doubles, respectively.

The Titans return to action on March 15 when they host Clarion at 4 p.m.
