NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected women's basketball senior Katie Hughes (Boardman, OH / Cardinal Mooney) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 11.
In her final game at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium against Waynesburg on senior night, Hughes earned a double-double with team highs 17 points and 11 rebounds. She rounded out the week averaging 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Westminster will play two games on the road before the 2013 PAC playoffs being. First up is at Grove City tonight at 6 p.m.
