Wednesday, January 16, 2013NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected men's swimming senior Alan Nedley (White, PA / Connellsville) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 14.
Nedley led the men as he won two individual events and was also part of a winning relay in Westminster's 116-89 win over Division II Rollins College last Wednesday. Nedley finished first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:50.22), the 100 yard butterfly (52.84), and was also part of the 200 yard medley relay team that placed first with a time of 1:40.43. Nedley was also part of the winning 200 yard medley relay team in the Titans' 122-82 win against DII West Virginia Wesleyan over the weekend.
Westminster (7-0) will travel to Carnegie Mellon to compete against Carnegie Mellon and SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at 1 p.m.
