CARLISLE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2012 season by competing at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships hosted by Dickinson College on Saturday. The Titan women's team placed 25th out of 49 teams with 661 points, while the Titan men's team placed 36th out of 49 teams with 1060 points.
Sophomore Jenny Jones (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) led the Titan women as she placed 93rd in the 6 kilometers with a time of 24:54.9. Junior Maggie Backstrom (Butler, PA / Butler) followed with a time of 25:28.2 for 128th place.
Junior Aaron Sutton (Warren, Ohio/Howland) led the Titan men running the 8 kilometers in a time of 27:29.2 for 94th place. Freshman Cody Schreiber (Johnsonburg, PA) finished next for Westminster with a time of 29:23.8 for 210th place.
